W ill a doula support the choice of pain medication?
Every birth is completely different to the next and therefore a different set of circumstances. You are the one experiencing each and every contraction and therefore the only one to know if pain medication is needed. If during your labour you feel that you require the use of pain medication then I will support your decision completely. Prior to your birth we will discuss the different types of relief that may be available so that you are aware of the pros and cons to each and can make an informed decision at the appropriate time.
A doula is here to support you in your birth however you choose to birth. There is no judgement, no right or wrong, this is your birth.
