The birth of Kauri
My birthing experience, was all the better by having Emma present at my birth.
Her calm demeanor and brilliant knowledge helped me to know that I was capable of achieving my VBAC. She gave me wisdom, care, and friendship, and I don’t think I could have done it without her.
She taught me to view it as a natural and positive experience rather than a painful one. She kept both my partner and I calm and communicated our wants and needs to the medical staff. I went to the hospital wanting a natural and intervention free birthing experience, and Emma played a huge role in bringing that to fruition.
Initially my partner was unsure about having a third party present, however it took a lot of pressure off him. Emma helped to make the birth of Kauri a positive and fantastically mind blowing experience. She supported me through my pregnancy and labour, and I would never birth without a Doula again. Thanks Emma, you are the best!
